About
hawesWeb Productions is a venture by Conservative activist and blogger Chris Hawes.
I have set this up because the internet and “new media” is the new frontier in political communication – many are using it, but often poorly through either a lack of understanding of the medium or a lack of knowledge of how to improve their usage – or indeed the old favourites of lack of time and money. I want to put an end to this.
The mission statement behind hawesWeb Productions is simple:
To enable Conservative MPs, candidates, associations and activists to have an effective online presence.
I want to make politics a lot more accessible and easier on the eye for web users. Beyond the main party websites, many are poorly designed and under-maintained, or just old and outdated – and I want this to change. Candidates, associations, and campaign teams often need help knowing where to start, and so end up either throwing their hands up in frustration and having no online presence at all or paying thousands of pounds to companies. Money that could be better spent on other campaigning tools.
Because websites should be easy and cheap ways to get your message across – and so I have decided to do what I can to help out.
